93rd meeting of the student parliament

On Wednesday, the 15th of June, the 93rd session of the student parliament will take place from 14:30. The meeting will take place on the Stadtmitte campus. In addition to various reports, the questioning of the board and elections, there will also be 7 petitions.

What is the student parliament?

The student parliament (StuPa for short) is the legislative body of the student council. It makes the fundamental decisions. On the one hand, the budget and various guidelines are decided here, which regulate how much and on what stuvus can spend money.  In addition, the StuPa also decides on positions to convey the students' opinion on certain topics, e.g. teaching during Corona or sustainability, to the university and the state.… Read more

What is the senate?

The Rectorate, 20 professors, representatives from the administration and from the academic staff, 2 doctoral students - and 6 students, plus a few advisory members. This is the composition of the Senate - the central body of the university for all matters concerning teaching, studies and research. What is the Faculty Council?

All things that affect the faculty are discussed in the Faculty Council: these are long-term things such as the faculty's structural and development plans, the establishment of new institutes, degree programmes or professorships and the study and examination regulations for the associated degree programmes. Proposals for appointments are also decided here before they are passed on to the Senate.
