A community garden on the Vaihingen campus for students, university staff and residents. In the middle of the concrete desert, strawberries and lettuces grow in raised beds, tomatoes under protective roofs or potatoes in rice sacks. The garden is open to everyone, creating a space for sustainability, creativity and alternative ideas in the midst of the grey everyday learning environment. The garden is also used for small, cosy parties. For example, a summer party is held in the garden every year.
The MitMachGarten moved in the summer of 2019. The new location is behind the tennis courts of the Keltenschanze sports hall between the residential building Pfaffenwaldring 15 and the Arena 2036 (Pfaffenwaldring 19) (Google Maps).
