The Department of Teacher Education deals with all matters concerning student teachers and represents them in discussions with representatives of the Institute of Education.
As contact persons, we are available to answer any questions you may have about your studies, be it subject-specific or interdisciplinary topics such as timetabling, the organization of pedagogical modules or formal, teaching-related particularities. We also organize first-year events, pub crawls and much more.
Our aim is to give student teachers at the University of Stuttgart a voice, to support them in their studies and to offer a wide-ranging communication network. In order to achieve this goal, we work closely with the Professional School of Education Stuttgart-Ludwigsburg (PSE), the Department of Education, the subject advisors and many other stakeholders in the grammar school teacher training program. In addition, our members are involved in study commissions and examination boards, in the state-wide Teacher Training Committee of the State Student Council and as elected members of the Senate Teacher Training Committee.
