107. StuPa-Session

On Wednesday, 05.07, the 107th meeting of the student parliament will take place starting at 14:30. The meeting will take place in Vaihingen in the room PWR 09 V 0.267. In addition to various reports, the questioning of the board and a debate on the current topic of the anniversary event of the stuvus, there are also 7 motions and a by-election to the board assessor.

The first motion deals with the determination of the amount of expense allowance for the board assessor which is awarded by virtue of office.

The second motion is a motion for the cancellation of the concert of the “Dorfrocker” at the anniversary event of the stuvus. The band’s performance is currently the subject of controversial discussions both internally and externally. In case of a cancellation, costs in the range of several 10.000€ would arise.

The third request is for the release of funds for the installation of info screens at the Campus Stadtmitte. This amounts to a sum of up to 7,300€. The infoscreens are to be erected in order to bring more targeted information to the students and to expand the public relations work of stuvus.

The fourth proposal deals with the resolution of the guideline for vehicle rental. This is to clarify the regulation on the use of the stuvus vehicle.

The fifth motion deals with the committee for the evaluation of RegioRad. This decides whether stuvus should continue to support Regiorad financially. Since the decision is not needed again until 2026, the committee should be temporarily disbanded until then.

The sixth motion wants an amendment to the Freshman Orientation Guide to increase the grant for freshman weekends. The amendment includes increasing the stuvus grant for freshman weekends to 10€ per person attending per calendar day.

The seventh request is a letter to Ministers Hermann and Olschowski asking for support in maintaining the Chair of Rail Vehicle Technology. Due to a vacant position, this specialization is to be eliminated in several of our degree programs.

We cordially invite all students to attend the StuPa meeting and participate in the discussions. Of course, you are also welcome to ask questions to the board and the candidates and to participate in the discussion about the anniversary.
