Review of 2022

The year 2022 is coming to an end; time to take a look back.

Unfortunately, this year has also brought a crisis and many students are feeling the financial effects. In autumn, we were on the streets and demonstrated in front of the Ministry of Science and the Arts for better funding for the Studierendenwerke. The planned increase could be reduced but unfortunately not prevented. We are still working on the issue. However, there are also much more positive aspects of 2022 that we would like to mention here!

For the first time, many stuvus projects could finally take place again: There was partying at the UNO, relaxing at CampusBeach and working on new and old projects during the stuvus weekend. Freshers’ huts and student group weekends were also able to take place under normal(er) circumstances. But even smaller events, which were still almost unthinkable in 2021, could be offered again by stuvus.

The first semester induction could take place under more relaxed conditions this year and we were pleased to be able to offer many face-to-face events as well. In 2021, this was only possible under more difficult conditions such as mandatory registrations and limits on the number of participants, if at all.

We were pleased to welcome many new students, not only the first-year students, but also the active members of stuvus. Whether in the Student Parliament, the executive board or in individual projects: We have had new blood. Since we are volunteers at stuvus and can only be active for a limited time due to the duration of our studies, we are always happy to have new blood. In 2022, not only new people but also new projects joined stuvus. For example, the working group Eigenbau (DIY) was recently founded and the planning of the party “Springbreak” for the summer semester 2023, have started.
