99th StuPa meeting

On Wednesday, 11 January, the 99th meeting of the Student Parliament will take place from 2:30 p.m.. The meeting will take place in room 9.06 in the K1. In addition to various reports and questioning of the Executive Board, there will also be elections and four motions.

A new deputy speaker for Equality, Diversity and Social Affairs is planned to be elected, as well as a new leader for the AK Campusbeach.

The first motion has the intention of receiving support for a list of demands “Sustainability in the dining halls of the Studierendenwerk of the University of Stuttgart”. The motion stems from the fact that at the last StuPa meeting a very extensive list of demands, which was not specifically tailored to the University of Stuttgart, was not discussed. You can find the complete list of demands as well as all other documents in the stuvus wiki; accessible to the university public via the link in our bio.

The second motion deals with an amendment of the stuvus statutes. The statutes are to be changed so that student groups (Fachgruppen) can be disbanded in the future. This is currently not possible.

The third motion is to amend the constitution of the civil engineering student group (Fachgruppe).

The last motion aims to set up a new working group called “AK Jubel” to take care of the anniversary celebrations for the 10th anniversary of stuvus. If the AK is founded, a leadership is also planned to be elected.

We cordially invite all students to attend the StuPa meeting and participate in the discussions. You are also welcome to ask questions to the board and the candidates.
