Rights at the exam insight
Is it allowed to take notes during an exam insight? Does an exam insight have to take place?
After the examination procedure has been completed, i.e. normally after the grade has been announced, you are entitled to an exam insight for one year. In most cases, the examiners themselves will suggest dates in good time. You are allowed to take notes during the insight, but sometimes not with your own writing materials. If you find any points that you think have not been corrected correctly, you must raise specific and comprehensible objections and the examiners will then have to deal with them. If you need copies of te exam for this, you can request them in writing, but sometimes it is enough to simply ask.
Once you have received a written notification of your grade with information on legal remedies (by post), you have one month to lodge an objection if necessary.
We recommend that you make use of the examination inspection: it helps you to understand your mistakes and it happens again and again that mistakes also occur in the correction!
