Learning spaces for students
Do you prefer to study at home or at university?
We’ve received a lot of messages lately with the question where else you could study due to the reduction of the library’s opening hours. We at stuvus took a look around and show you our top learning spots today!
In the Universum on the Vaihingen campus (Pfaffenwaldring 45), there are tables for group work in addition to individual workstations. Thus, it offers space for many students. In addition, the Universum is also open on weekends from 06:00-23:00!
Maybe you know the Haus der Studierenden (HdS) in Pfaffenwaldring 5c, but do you also know the study room there? This offers a couple of group tables and is located on the first floor directly across from the main entrance. The room is open Mon-Sun from 06:00-23:00. To get into the HdS on weekends, you will need to walk around the building once and open the door there with your ECUS badge.
The Campus Guest (Universitätsstraße 32) also offers some study places with group tables and is open for students Mon-Fri from 07:00-18:00.
Need a place to study with a computer? No problem, the IWZ Pool in room 2.270 in Pfaffenwaldring 7-9 offers just that. Here you will find individual workstations, each equipped with a computer. The IWZ Pool is open Mon-Fri from 07:30-19:00.
In the last weeks we have designed a website where you can see all available study rooms at a glance and find out when they are open. You can find the website at lernraeume.stuvus.de. In addition, we have started a survey to find out your needs and wishes regarding learning spaces. Feel free to participate and tell us which learning spaces you would like to see!
