Day of Tolerance
The 16th of November was the Day of Tolerance. On the Campus Vaihingen, rainbow flags were hoisted in front of the International Centre and the entrance to the campus to mark this day. On the Campus Stadtmitte, our Rector, Prof. Ressel, raised the flag personally. In addition to the Rector, the Chancellor, the Vice-Rector for Diversity, the University Communications, and us, representatives of the CSD Stuttgart were also present. Contrary to the original statement by the university, the rainbow flag was allowed to continue to fly for a short time after the 16th of November. We also welcome this in view of our position against extremism, which, among other things, rejects homophobia. In the student council, the Department of Equality, Diversity, and Social Affairs deals with issues related to tolerance, diversity, and equal rights.
