Closure of the S-Bahn tunnel

From 31.07. to 12.09. the S-Bahn tunnel will be closed. The closure affects the stations Österfeld, Universität, Schwabstraße, Feuersee, Stadtmitte and Hauptbahnhof (low). For the journey to Campus Stadtmitte, the S-Bahn will approach the main station at the top, so there should be no problems there until possibly short delays. However, the closure means that we students will not be able to take the S-Bahn to Campus Vaihingen during the examination period.

There will be buses as a substitute and we have also campaigned for significantly more buses to run during the exam period in order to cope with the rush. Nevertheless, you should plan your journey in advance and plan more time. There is also plenty of free parking around Campus Vaihingen, as well as bicycle racks if you can’t or don’t want to take public transport.
