BundID – how does it work?
To apply for the €200 one-time payment, you need a BundID account. The BundID is supposed to be a secure, digital identification for the application. But how do you create an account?
First, go to the website id.bund.de and click on “Create account”. For the creation you need your online ID OR the Elster certificate OR your personal PIN. You create the Elster certificate at Elster.de. Here you also have to create an account. Instead of a classic login you need a certificate file. You will receive this during the registration process from the tax office by e-mail or post. With this certificate, you can log in to Elster and set up your BundID account. Instead of an Elster certificate, you can also log in with your PIN. You can also find this in C@mpus under “My student file”. To do this, simply select that you want to register with “Username & Password”.
Now you only have to apply for the 200 euros with your access data via einmalzahlung200.de. Afterwards, you can still use your BundID to deal with official matters online.
