ÖPVN Tickets
Some of you have already contacted us and asked us about the solidarity contribution, the StudiTicket and other ticket options. Here we would like to give you an overview of the tickets that are relevant for students.
StudiTicket: The current StudiTicket will only be available in the VVS area until September. After that, the StudiTicket is no longer an option. If you have already bought a StudiTicket and now want to buy the 365€ ticket, you can have part of the StudiTicket refunded. The exact procedure has not yet been determined, but make sure you keep the original (PDF) ticket. More information will be published by the VVS.
Solidarity fee: This is the last time we will be paying the solidarity fee. Due to the existing contract, this could not be arranged otherwise. However, we can have the solidarity contribution credited when buying the 365€ ticket and take advantage of the solidarity contribution. From October, there will no longer be a solidarity contribution and the benefits will also no longer be available. This means that the student ID card will no longer be valid as a ticket after 6 pm and at weekends.
365€ ticket: From 1 March, the ticket will be available for one semester on a subscription basis for U27 students. The ticket is valid for the whole of Baden-Württemberg and costs 182.50 € per semester, minus the solidarity contribution. This is a one-time arrangement for the coming summer semester. From September onwards, you can buy the ticket as a regular annual subscription for 365 €.
49€ ticket: From presumably 1 May, you can buy a ticket for 49 € for the whole of Germany, regardless of age. There will be a monthly subscription that can be cancelled. We don’t know at the moment whether the solidarity contribution can be credited to this.
Training ticket: Students aged 27 and over can buy a training ticket for 46.67 € per month (annual subscription). While you can travel all over Germany for the €49 ticket, the training ticket is only valid in the VVS area.
All information is without guarantee, you can find the final regulations on the VVS website.
