Bicycle repair shop

Since the summer semester 2018, stuvus has had its own bicycle workshop on the Vaihingen campus, which is run by the Bicycle Workshop Working Group. Since the summer semester 2024, the bicycle workshop has also been available in the city centre!

The idea behind the stuvus bicycle workshop is to give university students the opportunity to carry out minor repairs to their bicycles themselves by providing them with tools. There is always someone from the bicycle workshop working group on site to provide support, give repair tips, hand out tools and sell spare parts. Spare parts are sold to the students at cost price, the use of the tools costs nothing.

Bicycle repair stations on the Vaihingen campus

Thanks to funding from the Una Terra project ‘Rad und Tat’, stuvus has had three bicycle repair stations since the beginning of April 2023. Students and employees of the university can repair and maintain their bikes at these stations around the clock. The repair stations are equipped with the following tools

  • Air pump with dual pump head
  • 2 tyre levers
  • 2 sets of spanners
  • Slotted screwdriver
  • Phillips screwdriver
  • Torx spanner T-25
  • Hexagon spanner set

In the event of defects or damage, please contact us directly so that we can rectify the problem quickly

You will find the 3 stations at the following locations:
