How does a university group work?
The most important information for university groups is summarised in this how-to. This is outdated with regard to financial support, see the guidelines for subsidizing student groups.

Recognition as a university group
In order to use the services listed below, you must be “recognised” as a university group. In concrete terms, this means that the stuvus board checks for each university group whether it meets the requirements of the university group recognition statutes (see below).
The statutes with all the criteria and the procedure for recognition can be found here.
For recognition as a university group, please fill out the following form and send it to us by email to antraege@stuvus.uni-stuttgart.de: (pdf)
Advantages for Recognised University Groups
Being a recognised university group comes with a number of benefits.
To name just a few:
- Printer quota of 1000 pages per semester (black and white) at stuvus.
- free use of university rooms (for events during the week)
In certain cases, financial support is also possible, details of which can be found in the guidelines for subsidizing student groups (only German).
Further information can be found in the How-to linked above.
An overview of all university groups recognised by stuvus can be found here.
