Since the summer semester 2018, stuvus has had its own bicycle workshop, which is run by the AK Fahrradwerkstatt. The idea behind the stuvus bicycle workshop is to give students at the university the opportunity to carry out minor repairs to their bicycles themselves by providing tools. There is always someone from the bike workshop working group on site who takes care of the repairs, gives tips on repairs, hands out tools and sells spare parts. Spare parts are sold to the students at cost price, the use of the tools costs nothing.
Where?
The bicycle workshop is located in front of the light blue hippo (on the ground floor of Pfaffendwaldring 57, usually easily recognisable by our stuvus sales van in front of the building) on the Vaihingen campus.
When?
The bike workshop is always open on Tuesdays between 14:00 and 18:00 (sometimes longer) and Thursdays between 12:30 and 15:30!
Come by and make your bike fit 🙂
Want to join in?
Tinkering around with old bikes and making them roadworthy again can be a very satisfying task and a lot of fun. If you want to be part of this, then why not become a member of the bicycle workshop? If you are interested, please contact us:
