Welcome to the website of the Selfhelp – Bicycle Repair Shop Stadtmitte! Hopefully you’ll find all the information you’re looking for here!

What is this place?

We are a self-help bike workshop. This means that we do not exchange labour hours for money. We are happy to advise and help you to repair a bike yourself. We have many (special) tools available for this purpose. We also have spare parts in stock, which we will pass on to you at cost price.

Where?

You will find us in the inner courtyard of Café Faust. If Café Faust is not open, the entrance is through the metal gate to the right of the entrance to Geschwister-Scholl-Straße 24D, 70174 Stuttgart.

When?

Our team of volunteers still needs to grow in order to open regularly and reliably.
That’s why you can always find our next opening time on the posters in Faust and soon on our Instagram, and of course here:

Who are we?

We are a small team of students from the city centre and Vaihingen. We have no training in bicycle mechanics or similar and do everything to the best of our knowledge and YouTube 🙂

Important!

  • We work on the principle that everyone gives what they can. If someone can’t support us for weeks on end, that’s totally okay 🙂
  • Even if you don’t like oil and grease, posters and workbenches have to be designed and built, order lists etc. have to be kept. So there are definitely opportunities for you to get involved! Just come along and get to know us 🙂
