Spacefahrt – Excursion to Bremen organised by flurus

Dear space enthusiastic students,

The Aerospace Engineering student council (Fachgruppe flurus) is once again organising its space trip to Bremen in January. The programme includes visits to the companies and institutions DLR, Airbus Defence & Space, ZARM, OHB and DFKI (German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence).

The space trip is an excursion for 30 participants, which will take place from 15 January to 17 January 2024. The journey will be by train. The participation fee includes two nights’ accommodation in a hostel, the train journey, local public transport and breakfast.
Departure is on 15 January 2024 at 06:05 at Stuttgart main station.
The expected return to Stuttgart is on 17 January 2024 at 23:54.

As the excursion is partly financed by a sponsorship agreement that only supports LRT students, aerospace engineering students pay a lower participation fee.

With the growing relevance of the space sector, we think that this programme item could interest students beyond the degree programme. In Bremen, some of these companies/institutes are located in one place and therefore offer themselves as excursion destinations.

Costs: The participation fee is 80€. Aerospace engineering students will receive a refund of €15 after completing the excursion and providing proof of their degree programme (by showing a certificate of study on the excursion).
