Application Phase: Deutschlandstipendium

You’ve probably heard of the Deutschlandstipendium, but what is it actually?

Every year, around 170 students at the University of Stuttgart receive €300 per month for one year through the Deutschlandstipendium. Half of this funding comes from companies and the other half from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. You also have the opportunity, if you wish, to get in touch with your sponsors and, for example, visit the company or simply make contacts for final theses and internships.

You can apply for the Deutschlandstipendium until 27 January. It’s not only the grade point average that is relevant for the application, but also “soft” factors such as your extracurricular commitment, voluntary work and your previous educational biography. All of these points are included in the points ranking. There are scholarships that are awarded within a faculty and there are also scholarships that are awarded throughout the university, independent of the degree programme.

To apply, you must first fill out the application form. Then attach your grade point average and proof of your other activities. If you are active at stuvus, you can also obtain proof of your voluntary work with us. To do so, please contact the person in charge (e.g. the head of the student group (Fachgruppe)).

You can find all the application instructions here: https://www.student.uni-stuttgart.de/finanzierung/deutschlandstipendium/

At this point, we would also like to point out that you can also apply for the Deutschlandstipendium if you receive BAföG. In addition, it is important to make sure that you have filled out everything correctly, otherwise, you will not be considered for the Deutschlandstipendium.
